STEGTA Excellence Award for Mentoring – Adam Moss

STEGTA Excellence Award

We would like to congratulate Adam Moss of Mettler Toledo for his mentoring of STEGTA Apprentices.

Adam said: Just like to thank Stegta for the recognition in winning the award as it is normally only a couple of times over the apprentices four years that you feel the benefit. There is a good feeling knowing that throughout apprenticeship that you have been able to watch them grow from school leavers into young professionals, training, mentoring, advising and guiding them throughout the whole process. At the end it is rewarding when we offer them a full time roll knowing that you have given them the knowledge and skills to carry themselves and the company forward. All this couldn’t be done without the help of Stegta’s training officers with Helen and Andrea, not to mention the help I get from two existing apprentices in Adam Harris and Joe Greatbanks that I work closely with. We have a good range of skill base and experience at MT Safeline so as the apprentices go from section to section and it gives them a great insight into building the product and forming a close relationship with the workforce. All this with day release over four years gaining an HNC in either Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering at a college of their chose gives the apprentices an exciting and rewarding apprenticeship.
Once again thank you for the award and we will look forward to recruiting more apprentices this year and working closely with the Stegta team.

Training Officers Andrea Roberts and Helen Wilson added: “We have enjoyed worked with Adam for a number of years, and during this time he has always been 100% committed to supporting the apprentices at Mettler Toledo Safeline. He is always on hand to guide the learners through their training, giving praise where it is due, and making sure they have access to the required training while at work. Adam takes great pride in making sure that every apprentice makes the most out of their training, and extends his support even after they have completed their apprenticeships. He is genuinely interested in the progress of the apprentices and this is clear from his conversations and actions, thank you for making our job a dream!”
